Try Poker at Tiger Gaming

Welcome to my blog! I’m a huge fan of online poker and US poker sites, and I will be updating this blog on a regular basis with poker articles. In this post I want to talk about Tiger Gaming, one of the sites on Action Poker. Please note that this site does not accept wagers from Americans.
The designers at Tiger Gaming did well to create a site that’s easy to navigate and nice to look at. The deposit bonus is huge and the customer support is helpful. What makes Tiger Gaming unique from other sites is that it has a number of special games that you won’t find anywhere else on the internet. Included in these games are Guts, Big 2, Chinese Poker, and Pan. This isn’t a casino so there’s no roulette bonus here, but the other games are so fun that you won’t want to waste your time with casino games anymore.
You will, of course, also find poker at this site. Tiger Gaming offers Limit and No Limit Holdem, Omaha and, when the tables fill, 7 Card Stud.
Tiger Gaming has opted to focus their advertising in Canada, encouraging consumers to download free poker in commercials on various TV networks. I suppose they decided that Canada is a reservoir of underserved poker players. It makes sense that a lot of the players on this site are Canadian, then, and you’ll be happy to know that the bulk of them are quite bad at poker.
Traffic is definitely an issue, most noticeably at levels higher than 50NL. However, if you’ve just gotten into money poker sites and you want to start small, finding a table at $2 NL up to $25 NL is usually very easy. You will usually have three to six 25NL tables to choose from, for example. Finding something at NL50 is harder. You will usually only find one table, maybe two if it’s your lucky day. Finding no-limit games higher than this is next to impossible. 100NL pretty much never runs, and when it does, there’s only one table. They offer $1000NL games but I’ve never seen it run, so these players will just have to make do with a PokerStars download.
Another bad thing about this site is that there isn’t a lot of traffic for non-Holdem games. They offer Seven Card Stud tables but nobody, literally nobody, plays them. Omaha has similar problems. There may be one table of Omaha going on, usually of the 0.1/0.2 pot-limit variety. If you enjoy these non-Hold’em games, you might need to stick to a Fulltiltpoker download. As for the exotic games, at peak hours it is not hard to get a game going. Since Tiger is the only room you can play them, the traffic is reasonable. For example, the game Guts usually can be seen at 2-3 tables at a time, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.
Overall, the action on Tiger Gaming is not good but if you are a lower stakes player, it is not bad either. If you are a beginner at the game, you should first start your bankroll at Tiger and then plan to get a Titanpoker bonus code when you want some stiffer competition.
I hope you enjoyed my blog today! In a couple weeks I’ll write about the interface at Tiger.
